Saffire’s facilitated experiences are at an additional cost to our accommodation packages and offer one-hour to full-day dynamic expeditions throughout Freycinet National Park.
Schouten Island Half Day Experience –Be engaged by close-up interactions with scouring sea birds, playful marine mammals and a diversity of life on Tasmania’s temperate reefs as you make your way to Schouten Island aboard our purpose-built vessel, Saffire. The adventure also includes a visit to culturally significant sites of past and present inhabitants. Behold the beauty of the Freycinet Peninsula and discover Schouten Island on this memorable three-hour adventure. Morning tea is included and prepared by the team of chefs at Saffire. Cost $250 per person, minimum four people.
Wineglass Bay by Water Experience - Come on a picturesque boat journey to discover the internationally acclaimed Wineglass Bay aboard our purpose-built vessel Saffire. Let your guide and skipper take you back in time as you discover the history of the Freycinet Peninsula while taking in the breathtaking scenery and wildlife that surrounds you. On the way back from Wineglass Bay, you will stop off at one of many white sandy beaches that are dotted around the Freycinet coastline and stretch your legs with a short guided walk along the pristine beach, or you can try your luck at fishing with our skipper and catch your lunch. Jump back on board Saffire and enjoy a sumptuous epicurean lunch before a leisurely cruise back into Great Oyster Bay. Cost is $395 per person, minimum four people.
Saffire Sparkling Cruise – Relax, sit back and unwind for an hour and a half in the afternoon as you cruise the Freycinet coastline with us aboard our purpose-built cruising vessel Saffire. Enjoy hearing about the fascinating stories and quirky characters of the east coast – then go ashore on a remote and secluded beach, where you can stroll on pristine, white sand, soak up some sunshine and maybe even take a dip in the pure, turquoise water. Sip Tasmanian sparkling wine and take the opportunity to explore. On the return voyage, if you’re in the mood for excitement, your Saffire skipper will entertain you with some high-speed action – or you might prefer to just take it easy and admire the spectacular landscapes of Freycinet Peninsula and Great Oyster Bay. Cost $140 per person, minimum four people.
Friendly Beaches Quad Bike Experience – Saffire invites adventure thrill-seekers on a quad bike tour along four-wheel drive tracks through coastal heathland to southern Friendly Beaches, in the Freycinet National Park. Join our adventurous guides on an exciting and challenging half-day adventure. Early bookings essential (A valid driver's license is required to operate the quad bikes. Learner's licences are not accepted. Maximum of three drivers plus one passenger per tour permittted). Cost $150 per person.
